Riceballs and Stuff by sake-bento Riceballs and Stuff by sake-bento
I never know what to name these things. Maybe I should just be cool like other people and call them "Bento 1," "Bento 2," and so on.

Anyway. This was actually really easy to pack. I'm getting pretty comfortable at this level, so it looks like it's time for me to level up and try something harder.

-Tuna onigiri
-Rice crackers
-Broccoli
-Cauliflower
-Carrots
-Banana
-Chocolate chip cookie (homemade of course XD)

It's mostly vegetarian. Substitute the tuna onigiri for ones with pickled vegetables and you'll be good to go.

Nice one. How do you get your Nori to stay perfect on your Onigiri? Mine never wants to attach and stay on.

If the rice is sticky enough, it should stay on its own. If it's being difficult, you can stick the nori on, then wrap it up in plastic wrap and stick it in the fridge for awhile.

The one in the link is for chocolate cookies, not just chocolate chip. It also uses honey. The one for the cookie here uses reduced sugar and butter, and it's brown sugar and cane sugar instead of white sugar. A little healthier that way. XD

Err... are cookies crunchy or it can be a bit soft (not hard to bite)?
sorry for keep asking ^^a

It all depends on the ingredients. I prefer the soft, chewy kind a lot more but some people like them crunchy. These ones are a little more dry, but not really crunchy. Chewy ones usually have more butter.

So, if I want to make it softer and chewy, I just need to add abit more butter than the one in the recipe?

thankyou ^__^

I don't get how people love to eat plain rice in a ball and make it look so appetizing.
Nice picture anyway.

Well it has a filling in it, so it's rice with meat (or in this case fish).

Sometimes instead of plain rice, seaweed, fish flakes or other flavors are mixed directly into the rice as well.

Not frozen, just raw. They're not all shiny and new from the store, so they probably look a little worn out...^_^;;
