A lot of people have been asking how I pack bento. Well...really I just put lots of food in a box. You kinda get the hang of it after lots of practice. ^_^;; But here's a simple layout you can follow with some ideas for each of the portions. Hopefully this is helpful. ^-^

i tryd packing bento's before but the problem is i rwally like all those japanese food recepies (<-- didnt spell that one good i know) but the rest of my familie only wants to eat it one a month so i have to make several bento's and all different i get stressed out but this is a really great tutorial nice and simple
I'd like to try making a bento based on this tut... :giggle:

It's sweet rolled omelette (like the one here: [link]). It's a very common bento staple since it's simple and tasty.

Well, my favorite part about bento is the fact that it's a great way to get rid of leftovers that are just hanging around. ::nodnod:: If you do that instead you'll have a lot less cooking to worry about.
