Tutorial - Whipped Cream by sake-bento Tutorial - Whipped Cream by sake-bento
The follow-up to my Thanksgiving Cake tutorial. [link]

Making whipped cream is quite possibly the easiest thing about baking, plus it's great to brag to all your friends that you made the whipped cream yourself. For normal whipped cream, the proportions are basically
2 c. Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 c. Sugar

You can add pretty much anything you want (chocolate syrup, fruit juice, even jell-o powder) to change the flavor of the whipped cream.

Enjoy. ^.^

... tell me, do people in America usually buy their whipped cream in those spray or whatever cans? o_O'

Anyway, gotta try the cake recipe! ^.^

I remember tasting the can type of whipped cream once. And yeah, 'twasn't very delightful experience.
... I hoped that Westerners weren't utterly helpless after all.

Actually, it gets worse. XD There's "whipped topping" (like Cool Whip) which is a fake whipped cream substitute-type thing that comes in tubs. o.o

Well...you can start with milk if you want. o.o But the point is more that you can to control the sweetness and the flavor completely. And it's so much better than stuff from a can or that fake whipped topping.

WORD

Have you experimented with cornstarch/icing sugar as a stabilizer? 'cause y'know how after like a day or so the cream'll start separating and not being so nice and stiff...trying to figure out a way around that...
